Taco Bamba – Vienna
For a quick lunch or light dinner and amazing Mexican flavors, Taco Bamba lays out the best flavors in their tacos, quesadilla, nachos, bowls, margaritas…. I mean I could go on and on about how much I love this super casual spot in downtown Vienna. It’s definitely a no-frills Mexican spot, small but festive with great music all the time, consistently crowded and regularly delivering Mexican goodness. My nieces Zoe and London have a requirement that we stop at Taco Bamba when they visit at least twice, when they arrive and before they go home. They love the Birria taco/quesadilla and the elote corn. I love the cheese quesadilla, various nacho options, and bowls. I am not a big taco lady but, they have a couple vegetarian tacos that I enjoy. I have to say, one Pickygirl tip, not all Taco Bamba locations are created equal. Each location has different options and I have been to other locations that I didn’t love as much as the Vienna location. If you risk, definitely come back and let me know what you think of the other locations you try.
Chloe definitely gives an American feel throughout most of the menu, but each dish I tried was elevated with an international element as a perfect compliment. Some outlets label Chloe as an eclectic restaurant or a new American/Modern European. I am confident that a stop at Chloe for brunch or dinner will not disappoint. I have experienced both brunch and dinner and everything was excellent during both trips. If you have a limited time in DC or you just want a good brunch, then Chloe will give you an all-around experience. Food, and drinks (including zero proof) – all excellent! The service is consistently excellent, and the ambiance is casual and fun! This is a restaurant I believe will continue to evolve! I am normally not impressed by Michelin-rated spots, but if that helps you consider Chloe, when you arrive, you will see their 2021 Michelin sticker. 😊
